每个人在工作的过程中，一定会有犯错、跌跌撞撞的经验，或者因为压力过重，独自烦恼、偷哭，或是好几次想要离职……其实，要做好事没有那么艰难，关键在于一个人的态度和工作方法，特别是在一个团队中，和主管、同事一起把一件事情做得又快又好，需要有三个基本功：
第1：听懂别人的话
有不少人为了显示自己的聪明，在主管交办任务过程中，还没彻底了解内容，就会先说“好好好”，过后做不到又碍于面子不出声，最后导致损害性结果。一流工作者要克服自己过去做事方法的“固执”，随时用学习的心态，请教主管或其他同事，听得懂人话才是把事情做好的第一步。
第2：掌握正确的事实
掌握事实可以帮助主管和同事用最短的时间判断现况、并让他们知道情报的真正来源，以便确认来源的可信度等。如果只是把情报找出来、然后丢给主管和同事，只是把事情做了一半而已，后续对于这些情报的回溯、追踪、调整、确认，才是对于掌握事实的标准。
第3：提出解决方案
不能只是把问题点出来就结束了，还必须提出具体的解决方案，因为这会影响到公司的存续，所以要特别注意。当下了决策、执行解决方案之后，也要承担执行的后果，并且根据这些后果不断调整原先的做法。
