诽谤周美芬涉土地丑闻 潘俭伟杨美盈赔35万
（莎阿南30日讯）高庭今日谕令行动党白沙罗区前国会议员潘俭伟与行动党蒲种区候任国会议员杨美盈，就诽谤马华前副总会长兼八打灵再也北区前国会议员拿汀巴杜卡周美芬涉及八打灵再也土地丑闻，赔偿35万令吉名誉损失。
高庭法官罗斯兰阿布峇卡指出，周美芬在概率平衡上证明了她对潘俭伟与杨美盈的起诉。
周美芬是针对《马来邮报》、《南洋商报》及网络媒体“自由今日大马”在2017年9月的报导，起诉潘俭伟。
时任百乐镇州议员的杨美盈，也因为在同一个月，在面子书与《南洋商报》的视频，被起诉诽谤。
潘俭伟与杨美盈指责周美芬在2006年，批准以低于市场的价格，出售千百家村的一亩土地给雪州马华，当时周美芬是县土地委员会成员。
罗斯兰说，这两份出版物的报导都对周美芬构成诽谤，而且两人提出的正当理由、中肯评论和雷诺兹特权（有限免控权）的辩护，都失败了。
潘俭伟与杨美盈各被谕令赔偿周美芬20万吉与15万令吉损失。
周美芬的代表律师是鲁本马迪亚瓦纳南；潘俭伟与杨美盈的代表律师则是谢瑞詹。
高庭也谕令答辩方支付5万令吉堂费。
周美芬在2014年至2017年间受委为上议员，曾是妇女、家庭及社会发展部副部长；她在2018年3月起诉潘俭伟与杨美盈诽谤。
