结婚成本高 这群华男终身不娶
（安顺11日讯）高昂的婚姻成本，导致霹雳州安顺一群约50名华裔男子，决定单身终老！
根据《马来西亚前锋报》报导，这群华裔男子年龄介于40岁至79岁，皆因高昂的婚姻成本而坚决不结婚。
拒绝成家的他们，时常相聚在霹雳河旁码头共度时光，更对外戏称自嘲为“单身汉协会”。
受访者一行人日前趁着国庆月，以国庆主题布置该他们时常相聚的码头。（取自《马来西亚前锋报》）
当中，梁先生（63岁）受询时透露，他们并不是不想结婚，而是过高的婚姻成本，包括婚礼、聘金等等开支，让他们打消了结婚的念头。
他表示，早在10年前，聘金就已高达5万令吉，到了如今已高达30万令吉，否则没人愿意下嫁。
“我只有一份普通的工作，怎么能攒那么多钱结婚呢？”
此外，他也认为，保持单身对他来说更好，因可以不受束缚做任何自己想做的事情，包括与朋友相聚，聊天到任何时间，也不会有任何人来阻止。
79岁的李东来（音译）则透露，本身早前曾有1名女友，但女方家庭开出了25万令吉的聘金要求，身为菜农的他最终因为无法拿出，导致婚姻告吹，唯有努力忘却这段感情。
他强调，随着身边不少朋友陆续结婚，难免会有所感触，甚至感到失望，但他始终并不后悔不婚的决定。
“不结婚其实并没什么问题，毕竟没钱想要照顾别人也不容易。现在，如果你没有25万令吉，基本也别想结婚。”
他说，如今的婚礼、礼堂、餐饮样样都是钱，还准备存钱给老婆买车和买房，所以还是保持单身比较好。
这群华裔男子日前也为庆祝来临的国庆节，抽空前来以国庆主题布置该码头。
