（首尔29日综合电）在围棋赛中被人工智能AlphaGo击败的韩国围棋手李世石（36岁），11月19日宣布退隐，结束他长达 24年的职业生涯，而退隐的主要原因是人工智能（AI）不可战胜。
李世石获得14个国际比赛冠军，32次韩国国内比赛冠军，皆仅次于李昌镐，高居历史第二。他于2016年与AlphaGo对决围棋，最终以1对4的比分落败。
李世石周一接受《韩联社》采访时说，自己选择退隐，主要是因为人工智能不可战胜。
“随着人工智能在围棋领域的出现，我意识到即使我通过不懈努力成为第一名，也并不意味着登上巅峰，”李世石说：“即使我成为第一名，也有一个不可能被打败的实体。”
李世石透露，在2016年著名的“人机大战”中，前3场比赛输给AlphaGo后，他感到很沮丧。
在宣布退隐后，李世石计划于12月18日至21日展开“归隐之战”，与韩国人工智能围HanDol下升降三番棋。
HanDol是韩国 NHN 娱乐公司开发的一款程序，虽然 2018 年才诞生，但在今年1月23日的人机大战中击败了目前韩国排名第一的申真谞，自此宣告横扫韩国前5名围棋选手。
