芙蓉佛光缘走入社会校园 亲近人群弘扬佛法
（芙蓉12日讯）佛光山芙蓉佛光缘秉持一步一脚印实践佛法之理，从去年开始采取走入社区和校园的方法，以亲近人群弘扬佛法，以缘结缘。
芙蓉佛光缘会长拿汀杨翠莲指出，此举也成功打破民众对佛教的刻板印象，纠正世人误认为拜佛需大量焚香迷信，同时也成功为芙蓉市校园师生，带来正面积极的影响。

她坦言，大多数人对佛教仍停留在焚香祭拜，推崇迷信的旧时认知，唯佛光缘在弘扬佛法过程，更侧重于实践。
“佛陀出于人间，才有人间佛陀之说，而佛陀本就是在人间修行而成佛，同理，佛陀的弟子平日生活也在修行，需靠一步一脚印弘扬佛法，把佛法所授的道理融会贯通，融入自己的生命和生活。”
今年到道场参与浴佛和抄经的民众，比往年增加不少。
她指出，在她的带领下，芙蓉佛光缘去年开始正式走入社区和校园，以亲近人群弘扬佛法。
“我和佛友主动到各华文中小学，与师生们亲近，甚至为全校老师庆祝教师节，这是我们的诚意，今早义卖园游会突然增加许多新面孔，大部分是学校的老师和学生，让我深感欣慰。”
今年到道场抄经的学生，增加不少新面孔，令主办单位欢欣不已。
她今早为芙蓉佛光缘举办的“2019卫塞节浴佛法会暨义卖园游会”致词时，这么指出。
杨翠莲也说，今日的义卖会是她担任会长3年以来，不论是摊主或与会者，反应最热烈的一年，除比去年增加两个摊位，售出的固本也比往年增加20%，超过2万令吉。
“今早新增了许多新面孔，大多数都是曾在学校接触过的学生，虽然义卖会9时才开始，他们为了抄经于早上8时30分，就来到佛光缘道场，这是我和佛友的惊喜收获。”
