美媒报道，据五角大楼部队保护局（PFPA）通报，事故发生在周五早上约7点20分（大马时间周五晚7点20分），一辆OmniRide巴士与一辆Fairfax Connector巴士在五角大楼地铁站南停车场迎头相撞。
现场画面显示，其中一辆巴士在转弯过程中试图减速，但仍与对向车辆发生碰撞。执法部门初步判断，该事故属于“低速碰撞”。
