登州起获逾24.6万走私猪肉

（士兆14日讯）登州兽医局执法组日前在截查一辆可疑的货柜罗厘时，起获一批疑是来自泰国的走私猪肉，当场充公该批价值24万6240令吉（9120公斤）冷冻猪肉。
　
该局是于上周四（9日）下午3时30分，突袭一所位于登州士兆县柏迈苏里（Permaisuri）市镇，甘榜伯甘吉路旁一辆货柜罗厘时，发现上述该批没有准证的冷冻猪肉。
　
登州兽医局主任安努曼今召开记者会时说，该非法猪肉包括228箱猪肉各部位和29箱猪内脏。

她指出，本次执法行动也援引2009年动物（屠宰管制）第5（3）条文展开调查，另有两人被扣留助查；包括被充公的货柜罗厘，被充公的物品总值为39万6240令吉。
　
她披露，两名被扣留的人士，分别是一名司机和一名跟车员，兽医局后续调查对比，猪只上的印章和兽医局认证的屠宰场并不符合。
　
“该批冷冻猪肉相信是从泰国走私进入，原因是装着内脏的箱子上印有泰文，当时正准备运送至关丹。”
　
她说，兽医局不允许不合规格的走私猪肉在国内流通，原因是担心爆发非洲猪瘟。
　
她指出，国内已发现非洲猪瘟个案，一旦扩散可能会对国内养殖猪业者带来毁灭性的打击，目前国内的非洲猪瘟案例只是涉及山猪。
　
“有关冷冻猪肉将会在明日销毁，这也是登州首次突击取缔猪肉走私案。”
