最后一架波音747飞机于周二交付，现任和前任员工、客户和受邀嘉宾参加了交付的仪式。

（华盛顿1日综合电）美国波音公司生产的747客机为不少旅客带来许多美好的回忆，过去50多年，这款客机占据了大半个天空，特别是跨太平洋的旅程，几乎由747包办。不过，近年来其他高效率双引擎客机取代了波音747。而最后一架波音747飞机周二交货给美国阿特拉斯航空后，就不会再有新机问世。

周二下午，数以千计现职及前任员工聚集在波音位于华盛顿州埃弗里特举行仪式，为最后1架付运的747告别。这是1架747-8F货机，交给阿特拉斯航空。

波音迄今生产1574架747，周二交付最后一架后，这款飞机将会正式停产。波音总执行长卡尔霍恩早前预料，公司未来10年都不会再设计新飞机。

747又称为珍宝客机，是全世界首款量产的宽体民航飞机，距1970年1月第一架波音747飞机交付泛美航空已经过了52年。由于它可以搭载大量乘客令航空旅游大众化，因此在推动民航业发展上波音747可说是贡献良多。

波音747雏型的大小是1960年代被广泛使用的波音707的2倍，飞机翼展比莱特兄弟的首次飞行距离还要长。自1970年投入服务后，到2007年A380投入服务之前，波音747保持全球载客量最高飞机的纪录长达37年，被誉为“空中女王”。

不过，随着飞机科技发展，包括波音777及空中巴士A350等飞机已逐渐取代波音747，加上油价上升导致成本上涨，还有新冠疫情冲击，多间航空公司近年已陆续将波音747客机退役。

2017年6月波音宣布停产客运用的747-8，但表示会继续生产货运用的747-8F及特殊型号（如空军一号、波音商务客机）。2020年新冠疫情爆发，导致航空运输需求锐减，波音于2020年7月宣布将停产所有747系列飞机。

虽然波音747停产，但现时服役的飞机（主要是货机），仍会继续飞行数十年。另外，美国总统乘坐的新空军一号专机，亦是由波音747改装而成，也会继续飞行。

与此同时，波音计划2024年下半年增加一条737 Max生产线，为737 MAX的第4条生产线，以提高其最畅销飞机的产量。新生产线将设于埃弗里特的大型工厂，波音一直在该工厂改造部分787梦想飞机，并生产777及767。波音一直渴望增加737 Max产量，但卡尔霍恩表示，由于劳动力及供应链紧张，公司对过快提高产量犹豫。
