美化新村 1000万拨款 倪可敏：或纳财案
（曼绒23日讯）地方政府发展部部长倪可敏说，他已建议首相拿督斯里安华，将1000万令吉新村美化拨款计划纳入2023年财政预算案内，逐部美化和发展全国新村。
“全国共有613个渔村和新村，原由国民团结部管理，但政权更迭后，首相就决定，从2023年1月1日起，所有新村都归地方政府发展部接手管理。”
他说，我国的新村经过70年岁月洗礼，都各拥有专属的历史和人文价值，可从旅游角度发展，创造“老新村新生命”的经济价值。
“若1000万令吉分给所有613个新村，每个新村所获得的美化拨款也是杯水车薪，因此，我认为首阶段集中拨款先发展30个特色新村，或更有效益！”
倪可敏今天出席行动党哲仁新村支部举办的新春大团拜活动以双语致词后，向媒体如是发言。他说，若该美化拨款计划于3月通过，部门将把握时间于4月开始启动。

倪可敏也披露，霹州各地市议员或于2月尾宣誓就职；各地原有的村长任期将如期于2月15日结束，新村长人选目前也正在筛选阶段。

倪可敏呼吁全民，在策划及举办活动时响应绿化，减少制造垃圾和浪费。
他说，自任职地方政府发展部部长后，哲仁新村是他首个造访的华人新村。他建议该新村自发性成为首个落实“垃圾不落地，哲仁更美丽”的新村，带头实施该美化的基本守则。
他也宣布拨款3万令吉，给哲仁新村美化委员会。
