（莫斯科23日综合电）塔斯社引述俄罗斯官员的话报道，乌克兰军队星期二（8月23日）用西方提供的武器，炮击了顿涅茨克市的一栋地方行政总部大楼。
顿涅茨克当局称，乌军向顿涅茨克中心进行一系列打击，造成三人死亡。这个中心自2014年以来，一直被俄罗斯支持的分离主义分子控制。
据俄罗斯国家通讯社引述一名分离主义官员说，这次袭击使用的至少一枚炮弹，是由美国制造的高机动性多管火箭弹系统（HIMARS）发射的。
西方官员警告说，本周乌克兰的战斗可能升级，因为星期三（24日）是乌克兰独立31周年纪念日，也是俄乌战争满六个月的日子。
