（纽约26日综合电）联合国秘书长古特雷斯周一宣布，任命中国资深外交官李军华为联合国主管经济和社会事务的副秘书长。
根据联合国秘书长发言人办公室发表的声明，李军华将接替同样来自中国的刘振民。古特雷斯对刘振民担任副秘书长期间对联合国所做的奉献表达感谢。
声明说，李军华将就促进多边经济和社会合作提出观点和愿景，他承诺与各方一道进一步落实2030年可持续发展议程，致力于为会员国服务。
此前，他为联合国亚洲及太平洋经济社会委员会、联合国大会和安理会的多次会议以及二十国集团、亚太经合组织、亚欧会议、金砖国家等其他多边会议做出了贡献。
