（伦敦7日综合电）英国广播公司（BBC）周四报导，英国首相约翰逊将在当地时间周四辞去保守党党魁职务，相当于辞去首相。约翰逊会留任首相直到今年秋季保守党选出新党魁。
英国财政部长和卫生部长因对首相约翰逊失去信心而先后辞职，引发政府官员辞职潮，令约翰逊政府再次陷入危机。
截至周四，短短两天内已有54名英国政府官员辞职。这些官员认为，约翰逊在一系列丑闻后不适合执政。周四宣布辞职的部长包括安全部长海因兹、北爱尔兰事务部长刘易斯、英国初级财政部长怀特利及英国初级文化部长菲尔普。
海因兹说，英国需要首相约翰逊下台，以恢复对民主的信任。
约翰逊周三誓言不会辞相，保守党议员准备讨论再次对首相进行不信任投票。不过，英国广播公司周四下午报导，约翰逊预计在当地时间周四辞职党魁职务。
报导指出，保守党将在今年夏天举行党魁竞选，并将在10月的党内大会选出新首相。在此期间，约翰逊将继续担任首相。
