（伦敦22日综合电）正在印度访问的英国首相约翰逊（Boris Johnson）22日表示，由于乌克兰人的顽强抵抗，俄罗斯侵略乌克兰的战争或许不会迅速落幕，可能拖到明年底。
约翰逊在新德里的记者会上，被问到是否认同国防情报评估所指，这场战争可能会拖到明年底，他说，“悲哀的是，这是实际上的可能性”。他说，俄罗斯总统普汀下令发动这场侵略行动，就已经犯下“灾难性的大错”，普汀现在实际上唯一的选项，就是继续拖下去，设法把乌克兰拖垮。
约翰逊再度表示，“务实的”谈判来结束这场战争，“此刻似乎不太可能”，但是欧洲和乌克兰最终会需要讨论未来的安全安排，“乌克兰人想要的，而且我现在认为会得到的，就是获得志同道合的国家给予安全保障，有关我们能做什么来支持他们的安全承诺”，这包括武器、训练和情报分享，让乌克兰能防范未来俄国的攻击。
他也赞扬乌克兰的抵抗意志，表示不管普汀未来几个月能够有多大的军事优势，“他都将无法征服乌克兰人民的精神”。
