（赛城7日讯）移民局总监拿督凯鲁披露，共1691名雇主因聘请非法外劳被控上法庭，罚款总额为 3307万3000令吉。
他说，2019年有1052名雇主被罚款1932万7000令吉、2020年有509人被罚款1045万6000令吉，今年截至5月，130名雇主被罚款320万令吉。
“由此可见法律不包容犯罪的雇主，也藉此驳斥社交媒体有关移民局没有对非法外劳采取行动的流言蜚语。”
凯鲁今日在外劳住宅区展开执法行动结束后告诉媒体，此区5年前就成为非法外劳居住区，自去年3月实施行动控制令，该地区的人口越来越多。
“在行动期间，202名外劳接受盘查，其中46人有证件已被释放，另156人被拘留以进一步检查。”
凯鲁说，行动期间，一些外劳试图从屋顶逃走，另一些则躲在林中并表现出攻击状态，一些人则不知道警方上面，还在集体赌博和饮酒，严重违反标准作业程序。
他说，这些非法住房环境肮脏，因没有适当的污水和排水系统，导致污水流入家中，还偷水电。
他指出，该局会援引1990年工人宿舍及设施最低标准法令对付雇主。
