（吉隆坡30日讯）国内如今掀起第三波新冠肺炎疫情，将在12月举行的独中统考，是否会二度展延成为关注；董总考试局近日议决，除非董总接到官方的展延指示，或超过50%考生无法参考，否则统考将如期进行。
一封由董总考试局主任林美燕署名，致给全国独中和关丹中华中学校长的信函，说明了董教总华文独中工委会在10月24日紧急会议上，对统考应对方案作出的4项议决。
信函中阐明，2020年度统考在以下任何一种情况下，才会展延至另行通知，包括（一）董总接获官方的展延指示及（二）超过50%应考生无法参与考试。
“为了保障考生权益，本会将尽最大努力让统考如期进行。除非逼不得已的情况下才会启动展延机制，并最迟在11月底以前作出宣布。”
