经过反覆回放和研判之后，裁判组认定诺里奇的这粒进球是越位，于是这样一粒进球就被吹掉了。热刺将帅统统长出一口气，毕竟这球要算进，那热刺就是0比2落后，比赛结果几乎会就此注定。
在这粒进球被判越位之后，英国足坛炸锅了。BBC便表达不满：“他们已经来回展示这粒进球大约20遍了，但我们仍然无法看出普基越位了。”
